Seller order process: Order closed
🎉 It's the last step in the order process. The order is now finished!
📌 What happens after the order is closed?
- The money placed in the escrow account is transferred to your ComeUp wallet.
- The chat remains active for another 7 days. You can talk with the buyer if you need to.
- If the buyer has not left a review yet, they can do so for six months after the order is closed.
- ComeUp sends a follow-up email to remind them to leave a review, but you can also encourage them to do so through the chat as long as it's open.
I received a negative review that I think I don't deserve. How can it be removed?
Reviews are important for your reputation, but it happens that a negative review seems unjust or does not reflect the reality of your work.
We have dedicated an entire question in our FAQ to help you. It can be accessed here.
How to contact the buyer again once the chat is closed?
Once the 7 days after the order is closed have passed, the chat will be closed automatically, and you will no longer be able to directly contact the buyer on the order. If you had a parallel discussion through your profile or a specific service, it will remain open.
The buyer is asking me to keep working even though the order is closed. What should I do?
Once the order is closed, it can no longer be modified. Normally, you no longer have to work anymore. Nonetheless, there are a few cases to consider.
📌 If the buyer still has requests and your order has been delivered correctly:
- If it's for minor corrections and the chat is still open, see if you can provide a quick solution.
- If the request calls for additional work, tell your buyer they have the option to place another order or a custom offer.
💡 Pro tip: Don't work for free after an order is closed. Unless it's a minor adjustment you want to offer as a commercial gesture.
Can I refund my buyer at this stage?
No, once the order is closed, it can no longer be refunded directly. Even if you received a negative review. Nonetheless, check that the work was completed correctly and matches what was agreed upon at the beginning of the order.
💡 Pro tip: To avoid this problem, ensure your buyer is always satisfied before closing the order.
