Buyer order process: Order waiting for confirmation

At ComeUp, every step of an order is carefully defined, from the start to the delivery, including possible revisions. All you need to do is to let us guide you.

You have just paid your order: your money is placed in a secure escrow account. The seller will only have access to it once the order has been completed and you have confirmed it by closing it. This is the first step in the order process: "Order waiting for confirmation".

⚠️ This step is crucial!

This is where you share all the essential instructions with the seller so they can complete the order successfully. In other words, you provide your requirements specifications. You have 48 hours to exchange with your seller and send them as many elements as necessary.

📌 Concrete examples:

Voice over order → Send the text to be recorded, specify intonation, tone, speed of speech, etc.

Website creation → Provide texts, images, desired features, and any other key information.

Community management services → Share details about your brand, and goals, and give the necessary access to your social networks.

😍 Once the seller validates they have all the necessary information, they can start working on the order.

🚨 If essential elements are missing and they can't start their work, the order will be automatically canceled after 48 hours.


What happens if I don't have everything the seller needs?

Ideally, you need to provide a maximum of elements to the seller within 48 hours after you place the order.

📌 If it's not possible:

  • The order will be automatically canceled after 48 hours and you will be fully refunded.
  • You can place a new order once you have everything you need to share with the seller.

💡 Pro tip: Before placing your order, make sure you have all the elements you need. If in doubt, contact the seller beforehand to clarify their expectations.


Is the information transmitted to the seller protected?

On ComeUp, all sellers commit to guaranteeing the confidentiality of exchanges. However, as a precaution, we do not recommend transmitting highly sensitive information, such as:

  • Authentification codes enabling complete access to your accounts.
  • Bank information (credit card, bank details, etc.).
  • Personal information (phone number, personal email, etc.).
💡 Pro tip: If the service requires specific access, create a dedicated account for the freelancer, with only the rights required to perform the service.

What happens if I decide to cancel the order at this stage or if the 48-hour delay has expired?

In both these cases, your money will be fully and immediately refunded on the payment method you used:

  • ComeUp wallet or PayPal: immediately visible refund.
  • Credit card: the refund can take two to three business days (excluding weekends and holidays) to appear in your account.

What should I do if the seller doesn't answer my questions?

We understand it's sometimes frustrating when a seller doesn't respond immediately to certain messages. Here's what you can do:

Wait a few hours because they might not be online when you send your message.

Follow up via the ComeUp chat to ensure they have seen your message. Know they will also be notified automatically by email.

As a last resort, cancel the order: if you still don't have an answer and don't want to wait, you can cancel your order at any time at this stage.
