Seller order process: Revision request
After your order has been delivered, your buyer can either validate the order or ask for a revision. That's what they are doing here.
📌 Before accepting or refusing a revision request, it's essential to make sure you fully understand the request. To do that, you need to talk with the seller. Make sure they specify what needs to be changed and how the order did not meet their expectations.
Once you have all the information necessary, here's a guide to help you decide if you should accept or refuse the revision.
You must accept the revision if...
✅ The revision is included in your service offer, and you agree to make the changes requested. If your service does not specify a limit of revisions, it means you need to accept all revision requests by default.
✅ You made a mistake, and the buyer signals it to you. It's normal to edit your work then.
✅ Your delivery was incomplete and did not respect everything agreed upon at the beginning of the order. In that case, you are at fault and need to finalize the work quickly.
You must refuse the revision if...
🚫 The buyer does not specify what they want to be revised. Sometimes, a buyer can request a revision without giving clear instructions. In that case, ask them for clear instructions before accepting the revision.
🚫 The revision is not included in your service offer, and the buyer has not paid for that option.
🚫 The buyer requests additional work that was not agreed on at the beginning of the order. A revision must correct an element of the delivered work but cannot be an additional request unless you agree. If the buyer wants additional work, offer an option or a custom offer.
