Seller order process: Revision request refused
You have refused your client's revision request. Be careful, even if your action is justified, your client can find themself at a dead end, and the relationship risks being more complicated. We recommend being patient, understanding, and explaining your choices.
📌 Your buyer now has 2 possibilities and has 7 days to make a decision:
✅ They can finish and close the order. In that case, you will be paid, and the money will be transferred to your ComeUp wallet.
❌ They can open a dispute. If the buyer believes that your refusal is not justified, they can open a dispute.
👉 What should you do now?
- Wait until the buyer makes a decision.
- Make sure your buyer understands why you refused the revision.
- Be clear, calm, and respectful in your exchanges, especially if the buyer doesn't understand your position.
You can also cancel the order, but it's not recommended, especially if you have already worked and respected all the steps in the order process.
How can I partially refund my buyer if we find an agreement?
You can offer a partial refund to your client from the order tracking page.
Everything is explained in this question of our FAQ.
The buyer wants to order an additional option or a custom offer so I can continue working. How can they proceed?
If your buyer wants to add an element to the order, here are the options available:
- If additional options exist for your service, they can simply buy them directly.
- If they need a specific service, they can request a custom offer, and you can create it through the order process.
💡 Pro tip: Before sending a custom offer, make sure your buyer understands the costs and what they will get in return to avoid all confusion.
What happens if I cancel the order?
If you cancel the order, here are the consequences:
- The buyer will be fully refunded.
- You will not be paid, even if you already worked on the order.
- The cancelation can impact your completion rate, which can impact the visibility of your services on ComeUp.
💡 Pro tip: Only cancel an order if it's absolutely necessary. Notably, if the buyer agrees with this solution or if the situation cannot be resolved differently.
