How do I know if my campaign has been effective and profitable?

Might as well answer this question quickly: a campaign is profitable if you've earned more money than you've spent. There are, however, a few parameters to take into account.

👋 Wait 30 days after the end of your campaign.

In many cases, a buyer who visits your service by clicking on your sponsored link may not place an order right away. They may do so the next day, in 7 days, or even 30 days. We consider that if a buyer clicks on your sponsored service and orders within 30 days, the sale has happened thanks to the sponsored impression.

This means you risk having sales triggered after the end of the campaign, and these will be visible on the dashboard! So remember to wait 30 days before making any conclusions.

✌️ A buyer can order several times.

You've got a buyer thanks to your campaign, congratulations! This order has counted as having been generated thanks to it. However, we know that a customer will return and place another order if he's satisfied. So think long-term rather than short-term.

🙏 A buyer can bring other buyers

A satisfied buyer can bring in other buyers, who will also bring more orders. It's also a parameter to consider that doesn't enter into the direct calculation of your costs.

🫵 What's for sure!

The price you pay to sponsor a service does not vary according to supply and demand. It's based only on the sales that have already been made on the site and the number of views that were needed for customers to make those purchases.

If an average of 1,000 impressions generates $20 in sales for a service in the “Website creation” category, then you'll pay $20 for those 1,000 impressions.

🙀 But you haven't had a single sale!

If you haven't made any sales, you need to take a closer look at your service and what you offer.

If your sponsored service doesn't work, here are a few possible reasons:

  • Is the image attractive enough to make buyers want to visit your service?
  • Is your service clear, precise, and well laid out (with headings, bold text, emojis..)?
  • Is this the type of service in demand on the platform?
  • Do you have a nice profile picture?
  • Are your prices in line with the competition? They could be too low or too high.
