How do sponsored services work?

In your “Sales” space, you can find the “Sponsored services” section in the menu. That’s where you will manage all your campaigns.

Campaign creation

The campaign creation form is extremely simple. To create a campaign, you must choose:


  • The service to promote. To promote multiple services, you need to create multiple campaigns.
  • The start date for your campaign, or “As soon as possible“. By choosing this option, your campaign will generally start at midnight that same day.
  • The duration of your campaign. Between 7 and 30 days. To get results the campaign must not be too short or too long, so you still keep control over it
  • The budget you allocate to that campaign with a $5 minimum and a $500 maximum.

Calculation of the number of impressions


Depending on your service’s category, we will automatically calculate the number of guaranteed impressions received during the campaign.

An impression corresponds to a real view of your miniature in the listings (search and categories). This means that if the miniature does not appear on the client’s screen, it will not count as an impression.

The price you pay to sponsor a service does not vary according to supply and demand. It's based only on the sales that have already been made on the site and the number of views that were needed for customers to make those purchases.


For example, category X whose services have been displayed 1,000,000 times in the listings and have generated 5,000 euros of revenue for sellers, is not the same as category Y whose services have been displayed 500,000 times in the listings and have generated 10,000 euros in revenue.

You will pay more for impressions in the Y category than in the X category simply because you should earn more!


Campaign display

Once the campaign is created and starts, your service will appear in the listings with the mention “Sponsored”


It will be presented as a priority if a buyer goes into your service’s category and with decreasing priority as buyers move up the parent categories to the home page.

For search, we also prioritize a sponsored service when a search is related to that service's category.

Our goal is always to display your service at the best time to optimize your chances of selling.


You can follow the results of your campaign in real-time, with graphs available directly on the page in the “Sponsored services” section.


End of the campaign

Once the campaign has reached the number of days it is scheduled to last, it will stop on its own.

It's normal for you to have more impressions than expected when you paid. The number of impressions we put forward is the guaranteed number. If we don't reach the guaranteed number, the difference will be automatically refunded.

You can also stop an ongoing campaign. In this case, you'll be refunded for the remaining amount minus 20%.
